Barf, part II

July 18, 2005 § 4 Comments

I spent Sunday in bed with cold sweats and writhing in pain.  There was haggling back and forth with the boy:  stay here?  pharmacy?  emergency room?  All sounded bad, but the last was the worst.  There’s no way I was going to the ER without an ambulance escorting me to the front of the six-hour line.  Plus, I didn’t need a pat on the head and a reminder to drink plenty of liquids.  Yeah, I’ve been here before.

The hypochondriac in me kept checking my limbs for numbness in case of botulism (slightly numb, yet still tingly) and the location of pain in my abdomen (okay, we can rule out appendicitis).  I’m feeling much better (I’m upright – hooray!), but not enough to go out into the real world just yet.
